Hoku has been attending daycare for over a year, since he was a year old, and he loves it! He gets all excited when we're still a couple of miles away. He usually walks very well on a leash but as soon as we get out of the car he pulls me all the way to the door....it's like we can't get there fast enough! If the door doesn't open right away he'll paw at the door to go in and once we get in, he rushes to join his friends....both human and furry. Seeing how excited he is tells me how great this place is. Everyone...staff and owners are super friendly and caring. They always let me know how my boy did...just like when your human child attends school. They have birthday parties and celebrate special holidays which is always fun, not only for your fur-babies but humans too! Hoku used to go once a week but he loves it so much that he now goes twice a week. He'd probably love going every day! If you're looking for a safe and caring place for your fur-baby, this is the place you want.
Lee Ann and staff were amazing. The facilities are super clean and comfortable, secure and spacious. Very professional and Roxy was happy to go. Easy scheduling, parked next to the bike lane on a Saturday. We will be back

I took my daughters dog to K9 and they must be good because the god got all excited when we got close. She was very happy and the person who took her knew her name! If the dog and daughters are happy all is good.
Everyone at K9 is super amazing and very attentive to my dog's needs! I got Pono from the shelter and he was super timid and very cautious of people and other animals. Even when we were first meeting him the humane society people would tell us that we had to wait for him to come up to us in order to create trust.
Pono is very bad with other dogs and every trainer told us to get him socialized at a doggy daycare. I actually met Lee-Ann at a Ward pet fair event a couple of months before I got Pono and when I adopted him they were the first people I contacted. I let her know all of Pono's traits and how he needs some help with people and other dogs. We brought him to the place and she came out to see how he reacted to her.. of course, he growled and barked a little at her but she still wanted to do the assessment. I was so nervous.
We left Pono for about 4 hours and he came out running to us! He looked so happy and when Lee-Ann came out to go over his day he was jumping all over her and giving her kisses. He absolutely loved them!
He has been going every week for about two months now and has grown on the staff a lot! They are all so kind and loving towards the dogs! They even put on some holiday events for the dogs.
ONE IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHT: They have helped Pono very much with his socialization with other dogs. He went from being in a small room with a couple of other dogs to slowly being able to go into a bigger pack. When I saw him in the main room I was so shocked and almost cried because I was so proud of him!
I saw a review where they said there was urine and feces everywhere but that is NOT true and they take care of the space and the dogs very well. Everyone is super nice and the place is perfectly clean. Pono will continue to go to this daycare and he loves it. Thank you to the entire staff and especially this one guy but I always fail to get his name. He is super patient with Pono and Pono has grown to be very comfortable with him.
Warm and caring staff helps our senior pup feel comfortable as she transitioned to being kenneled @ K9 SS. It put our minds at ease when they sent pictures of our pup relaxing with some new pup friends. Can't tell you how much that simple act of kindness meant to us!
Great service by staff. My dog is very anxious but is always happy to see staff members. She has been coming here since she was a pup.
I've now taken 2 dogs to this establishment, one elder, high and special needs 100+ lb dog, and now a rough and rowdy puppy with a ton of energy. K9SS has handled both cases appropriately and with care. I utilize both daycare for dog-to-dog socialization, and overnight boarding services for when I need to go off island.
The small dog-to-handler ratio just made this a much better fit for me and my dogs and they've always returned home happy and healthy, and I really loved that I could trust them with even the most complicated treatment plans for my big old boy who crossed the rainbow bridge, making his last few years the best ever despite all of his health complications. K9SS is a dog owner's and dog's best bet for daycare and boarding on island, hands down!
Lee Ann has done a fantastic job at this location on King Street! The play areas, the cozy suites, and the televisions for the pups makes it a great home away from home for our fur babies! On a personal note, the first time we left them I was, admittedly nervous about how my pups who were rescued, would do away from us. Lee Ann not only assured me they would be well taking care of; she sent me photos of them as well!
The second time we took them to the King Street location, they ran to the door and with front paws on the door! They were WAITING to be let in! This made me smile!

Lee-Ann and the staff at K9 are wonderful! You can tell everyone loves dogs & they treat your pup like ohana. It is truly personalized service. Our pup loves going and you can tell how happy he is every time we drop him off. The pricing and packages are also very fairly priced, an excellent value.

K9 takes wonderful care of my dog! The staff is attentive, caring, and is the perfect resource for me as a new pet owner. My dog is a pit-mix adoptee from the humane society, and they had no qualms about trying him out with the other dogs. My puppy is exhausted when he gets home, but endlessly happy! He practically drags me to the door as we walk there (which of course we're working on in training lol)! I am so happy I chose them for my doggie daycare needs!
